When using the insulation piercing connector for construction, follow these steps:
1.Determine the location on the main cable where the branch line will be connected.
2.Strip away the outer sheath of the main cable at the determined position, exposing a length of 200 to 500mm.
3.Without removing the inner protective layer (insulating layer) of the cable core, split the main cable core.
4.Insert the branch line into the branch cap, which has waterproof functionality, without stripping the insulating layer of the branch line.
5.Secure the clamp at the junction of the main cable’s core and the branch line.
6.Hand-tighten the clamp nut to establish the connection.
7.Finally, use sleeve plate gloves to secure the clamp.
8.Rotate the torque nut on the clamp clockwise to achieve the optimal contact between the puncture blade and the metal conductor.
When the piercing connector blade achieves the best contact with the metal conductor, the torque nut will automatically disconnect.
There is no need for special treatment of the conductor and clamp as shown in Figure 4 and Figure 5.
