The CONWELL KW2-150 Insulation Piercing Connectors are specifically designed to be compatible with various types of LV-ABC cables, including connections to service and lighting cable cores. These connectors are suitable for use with main cable sizes ranging from 50mm2 to 150mm2, as well as branch cable sizes ranging from 6mm2 to 50mm2.

During the installation process, when the bolts are tightened, the contact blades' teeth penetrate the insulation, establishing a reliable electrical contact. The bolts are tightened until the head shears off, indicating that the desired level of tightening has been achieved.

The insulation material used in these connectors is composed of a weather and UV resistant glass fiber reinforced polymer. This material ensures excellent durability and protection against environmental elements. Additionally, the contact blades are made of either tinned copper alloy or a strong aluminum alloy. These materials are chosen for their optimal conductivity and transition of the contact area, ensuring reliable electrical performance.
